Spring Collection for Tia

Cute Little Dress

I love making sweaters but Bangalore is never cold enough to require the use of full sweaters and cardigans. The weather is very pleasant for most parts of the day. However, there is a slight chill in the air particularly after a shower of rain. So, in the evenings when one goes out one feels the need for a sleeveless jacket/vest and a cap to cover the ears. Keeping all these things in mind I made this cute little woolen dress with a hood for my daughter. She looks very pretty in it. Making things for her gives me immense pleasure and happiness.

I made a pair of matching slipper with the same pattern. First, I made the sole (black) and the strap (yellow) separately and then, I fixed the knitted sole with rubber sole to facilitate outdoor usage. Finally, I joined the strap to complete the cute little peep-toe sandals.

Pretty Pink Shrug

This shrug is very easy to make (I hardly took an hour to finish it). Tia's uncle gifted her a beautiful white sleeveless dress. As the dress was of a flimsy material, I felt the need to make a shrug so that it would cut out the chill when we take her out for a drive.

I am planning to make one for myself too, as it is not only a "must-have" considering the Bangalore weather, but it is also very trendy and chic. I got this pattern from the internet. The pattern is by Kelly Maher and is available for free (http://kellymaher.wordpress.com/2007/07/04/ribbed-lace-bolero/).

Trendy Tank Top

This too is a very simple crocheted top.

Adorable Baby Dress

I used the Adorable Baby Dress pattern a free download from favecrafts.com (http://www.favecrafts.com/Crochet-for-Baby/Adorable-Crocheted-Baby-Dress/ct/1#) with my own modifications. I used the design as a source of inspiration. I made the dress in two colors, white and purple. The dress should fit a six to twelve months baby. I have made a satin bow to enhance the look of the dress and teamed it with a white diaper cover and a matching headband.

The stitches I’ve used are DC and shell stitch. It’s very easy to make the dress and I’ve really enjoyed making it.

The complete set...

I am working on a new project these days; once it is finished I shall share it with everyone.

Crocheted Top and Hat for my little Angel

This is my first crochet project, a top and a hat in contrasting colours. I first started the hat with some leftover wool.

And after completion when it looked good, I decided to make a matching top. As I didn't have enough red wool I made the top with black wool and gave red border. Also made a beautiful red flower brooch to complete the set.

I made this set for my daughter. My daughter is not well for quite sometime, so I need everyone's prayers and blessings for her (fast recovery).

Some of my creation.....

Most of the things I've made so far are for my daughter.

Pink Set
I love this set because my daughter used to look very pretty in it. I have learned knitting and crochet from net but I have learned the basics of knitting from my mother and basics of crochet from my mother-in-law. This is my first project.

Cap, Neck warmer and Gloves

I made this set for my sister who stays abroad.

I wanted to make a muffler instead of neck warmer but I ran short of wool. So, ended up making a neck warmer, it looked pretty cool though. I made it last year but could send it only few days back....hope she likes it.

New born Cap & Booties

This one's for my niece. I wanted to gift her something handmade. So, I decided to make this set for her.

Welcome Winter!

Hi Everyone,

From long time I wanted to create my blog to share my love for craft with other like minded people but for some or the other reason I couldn't. Finally, I made it.

With an academic background of a Masters in English and a Bachelors in Education and having worked as a Technical Writer, I chose to stay home after my baby came by. I love every moment I spend with her but as time went by I found ample free time on my hands and I decided to pursue my love for crafting (especially crocheting and knitting baby items) and shape my dream.of recreating the warmth of the womb for infants and toddlers through my own clothing line.

So, I have started this blog to motivate me to move ahead on my path and I seek feedback, good wishes and blessings of all, so as to help me reach my destination. If I can somehow achieve this through my blogs I would be really happy and thrilled.

Feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions for me at nath.aman@gmail.com.
