Spring Collection for Tia

Cute Little Dress

I love making sweaters but Bangalore is never cold enough to require the use of full sweaters and cardigans. The weather is very pleasant for most parts of the day. However, there is a slight chill in the air particularly after a shower of rain. So, in the evenings when one goes out one feels the need for a sleeveless jacket/vest and a cap to cover the ears. Keeping all these things in mind I made this cute little woolen dress with a hood for my daughter. She looks very pretty in it. Making things for her gives me immense pleasure and happiness.

I made a pair of matching slipper with the same pattern. First, I made the sole (black) and the strap (yellow) separately and then, I fixed the knitted sole with rubber sole to facilitate outdoor usage. Finally, I joined the strap to complete the cute little peep-toe sandals.

Pretty Pink Shrug

This shrug is very easy to make (I hardly took an hour to finish it). Tia's uncle gifted her a beautiful white sleeveless dress. As the dress was of a flimsy material, I felt the need to make a shrug so that it would cut out the chill when we take her out for a drive.

I am planning to make one for myself too, as it is not only a "must-have" considering the Bangalore weather, but it is also very trendy and chic. I got this pattern from the internet. The pattern is by Kelly Maher and is available for free (http://kellymaher.wordpress.com/2007/07/04/ribbed-lace-bolero/).

Trendy Tank Top

This too is a very simple crocheted top.
